Why use stone for your splashback surface?

Stone splashbacks have many added benefits in the home, especially in the kitchen.
  • Stone is low maintenance, as it is easy to clean. The same way you would clean your benchtops is the method you would apply to your stone splashback surface.

  • Stone splashbacks are grout free surfaces, unlike tiles, it is easier to clean as you do not have to clean grouting lines.

  • Stone splashbacks when placed behind the sink are a great way to waterproof and protect the area directly behind the sink.

  • If using stone for your benchtop, you can promote consistency through having the same stone material feature as the splashback. It looks stylish and elevates design continuity.

  • A qualified stonemason can guide you on the material to use and advise you of the technical guideline for placing stone behind cooktops (ie. ensure gas and/or electric clearances).

  • Your stonemason can install the splashback on the same day as they install your benchtops. This reduces the time it takes to construct your kitchen. It also means you are dealing with less tradespeople to get the job done - which can be a peace of mind!
